2 Works for You Storm Shield Forecast for Tulsa and Green Country

We'll see more sunshine this afternoon with some warm temperatures near 80 degrees.

Winds will be breezy today out of the south, gusting to 35 mph at times.

A powerful storm system will move into the region on Friday. New data tonight forms the thunderstorms well east of Tulsa Friday afternoon. This means the severe threat would be limited to our far eastern counties, closer to the Arkansas border. It also means the chance of rain for Tulsa may be over by 2 p.m. Friday.

However as the main storm moves overhead Saturday morning, additional rain showers could form but by the afternoon it should be dry, breezy & cooler.  Highs on Saturday will be in the upper 60s.

We are keeping an eye on Sunday. Another storm system moves into the central Plains, this will increase the threat for more strong to severe thunderstorms by Sunday evening.
